Facts and figures

  • Some 1,600 personnel were re-located as a result
  • The related projects, valued at £4.5m, consisted largely of the demolition of three office blocks, the creation of two car parking areas and the refurbishment of an existing barrack block into open plan office space

Why did we do this?

To expedite the co-location of the RAF two Command Headquarters at RAF High Wycombe, PriDE, a joint venture between Interserve and Southern Electric Contracting, undertook the necessary works to create the required facilities.

Sustainability was a key consideration from the outset of the projects.

How did we do this?

Sustainable requirements were built into the specification and included protection of flora and fauna and an archaeological site, recycling, energy saving measures and a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS).

Additional habitats were created through planting of meadow grass and existing maintained, including preservation of mature trees.
